Quintessentially English
Posted by admin under: Photography .
Out for a walk this evening, I decided to take the long way home and this is one of the results:

A very tranquil looking English landscape, bathed in the last of the evening light.
The location is Blagdon lake in the Chew Valley. The white dots on the horizon to right are buildings in the city of Bristol, and almost unbelievably, just below the skyline to left, is the busy Bristol International airport.
I’m not claiming this to be the finest landscape, but it does provide a lasting memory of a wonderful evening, walking on the Mendip hills.
Sadly, I only had the Powershot G10 with me: the Alpa SW12 would have been ideal, but sometimes quality has to be outweighed by convenience.
